TrustedLogin allows customer service representatives to log into customer sites from the help desk they are already using.
We currently support:
Help Scout
TrustedLogin adds a dynamic widget to tickets that come into Help Scout. With a single click, support agents will be able to log into customer sites.
How does it work?
How does TrustedLogin provide one-click logins for customer sites inside of Help Scout?
- Help Scout requests a list of sites that have a TrustedLogin granted to them
The request includes the customer’s email address, encrypted with a private key. - Your site communicates with the TrustedLogin service. TrustedLogin provides a set of data connected to the unique identifier. Note: the TrustedLogin site cannot read any of this data; only your site can!
- If you use licensing software, the license key is used as a unique identifier for the customer. Otherwise, a cryptographic hash is used.
- Your site generates a list of sites for Help Scout to display. The links to log into customer sites are encrypted. The URLs point to your own site.
- When your customer support agent clicks on a link, the agent is first verified on your site, where your site verifies that they are logged-in and have the correct roles to access customer sites. Once verified, your site redirects the support agent to a secure access endpoint.
